Many incoming freshmen find college-level music theory intimidating. These courses demand that students do more than just think musically; they must also sing, play the piano, take melodic and harmonic dictation, and memorize numerous musical rules and concepts. As a result, music theory is often considered one of the most challenging academic courses for music majors.

In my music theory classes you will learn the fundamental concepts of music theory and music history while working on piano and vocal skills. Recommended for college admission preparation.

Perhaps the most stressful part of auditioning for music programs is the sight-reading section, and this is by far the greatest challenge in the audition process. In order to prepare for this, my studio uses the EarMaster app, which is currently the leading app for ear training, sight-singing & rhythm training.
